| 内容記述2 | Educational effects of participation of persons concerned in maternal nursing lessons on woman health and care are well established. The students are given an opportunity to talk with participants from local community, and learn about important topics such as “human”,“community”,“nursing student”,“local community members and their responsibility”, and finally take part in volunteer activities such as childcare.
In 2004, sixth year since lessons with active participation concerned were introduced in our maternal nursing education, the twins' parents were invited to talk about their pregnancy and childcare, because recently increasing number of multiple pregnancies in our country is accompanied by need for appropriate and specific nursing.
In the lessons, first, the participants are introduced, and then mothers talked about their prtgnancies and childcare, in a time course and by using slide shows. Their talks are supported by comments of their husbands on psychological aspects and specific activities required.
In the present study, the students were asked to write a free-format report concerning the lessons. Their understanding of the topic was evaluated by using four categories, i.e. knowledge, technique, emotions and sense of values, based on the report of Kathleen B Gaberson et al, “Educational effects expected in nursing education”. In addition, descriptions about “high risk pregnancy” and “twins” were extracted from the reports and separately subjected to a qualitative analysis.
Here we report on the educational effects of intentional selection of participating persons concerned for our lessons, by focusing on students' understanding of nursing approach that is required by high-risk pregnancies. |
